JIMA Studio, in partnership with Detroit Collaborative Design Center (DCDC), worked with the Live6 Alliance to produce a number of placemaking configurations to elevate the 6 Mile/McNichols area and increase footfall. In an effort to attract more visitors and businesses to the area, and manage street safety concerns, these placemaking recommendations focused on strategically locating furniture, decorative crosswalks and wayfinding signage to create a more attractive and functional Main Street.
