BT Farms is an proposed agriculturally based community that centered around improving the existing wetland and forested areas for an immersive residential and mixed-use living experience. Located in a historical floodplain area, this development will bring residents closer to nature while encouraging wetland restoration and tree planting efforts. In addition to the agricultural elements, amenities provided to residents include public parks, shared backyard spaces, and a number of outdoor market place areas. JIMA Studio served as the lead landscape architect, driving the overall spatial approach with a focus on restoring the hydrology of the landscape, maintaining heritage trees and plants and balancing local ordinances to support viable housing development.
